Karl Kraus Young Talent Award 2026
Joceline Hinz received the first prize of the 2026 Karl Kraus Young Researchers Award from the German Society for Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing, and Geoinformation (DGPF). The award ceremony took place during the 46th Annual Scientific and Technical Conference, which was held in Darmstadt from March 25–27, 2026.
Ms. Hinz’s master’s thesis is titled “Uncertainty Estimation of Foundation Models in Semantic Segmentation.” The conference proceedings include a scientific paper summarizing the results of her master’s thesis. The work was carried out in the Machine Vision Metrology Team under the supervision of Steven Landgraf. The award recognizes her outstanding master’s thesis as well as her exceptional professional qualifications.
We are very pleased that she is now joining our Machine Vision Metrology Team at the IPF as a doctoral candidate.
